About Us
Our History
Renegades of Funk is a Chicago-based nonprofit organization made up entirely of volunteers dedicated to preserving, learning, and teaching Chicago Hip Hop culture. To promote Hip Hop culture, we collaborate with local artists, companies, and community organizations. We bring multigenerational communities together to showcase their talent and preserve it for the future.
Our Mission
Renegades of Funk (ROF) is a Chicago based nonprofit Hip Hop organization that embraces the diversity and inclusiveness inherent in Hip Hop culture. ROF’s mission is preserving, archiving history, teaching, elevating, and empowering communities by motivating artists and young individuals to reinforce grassroots initiatives promoting social justice, community involvement, educational initiatives, collaborative networking, and global outreach. We contribute our resources and collaborate collectively to contribute to the improvement of our shared world. Renegades of Funk members benefit from access to the wealth of resources of the entire ROF network and community.
